Your Role on the Team
Nike holds a leadership position in our industry on the adoption of sustainable practices and processes. Technology is increasingly an enabler of the sustainability agenda we are driving within Nike and across our industry.
As our Senior Technology Manager for the Sustainable Business & Innovation (SB&I) function, you will be a part of the Solutions Delivery Organization within the Global Nike Technology team, as well as be an extended member of the Nike Sustainable Business & Innovation Team. In your role, you will be the focal point for all sustainability technology activities covering topics such as analytics, measurement, data, open development and open data strategies, etc. You will drive a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap for sustainability, evaluate new technologies and technology services, solutions and/or vendors in support of the sustainable innovation agenda. Additionally, you will also oversee the implementation of the technology and infrastructure components of the strategy. You will partner with relevant technology providers inside and outside Nike to deploy the technical and infrastructure operations to support the SB&I organization. To do this, you'll bring best-in-class industry expertise in working with emerging technologies and services. Your success will require you to work with a broad range of internal and external partners to deploy innovative ideas and technologies. In your role it will be critical to partner with SB&I, Nike Technology and other Nike business functions to ensure we achieve alignment of strategies, cross-pollination of ideas, integration of plans and overall efficient use of technology resources and expertise across the company. You will be an active member of the SB&I Technology committee and provide oversight, technology recommendations and alignment across the entire portfolio of sustainable innovation initiatives.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
To make it clear, we're not looking for just anyone. We're looking for someone special, someone who had these experiences and clearly demonstrated these skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 8 years direct relevant work experience. MBA Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in developing and delivering Technology Strategies
- Experience with development, evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies. Experience in technology innovation processes and approaches preferred
- Proven ability to guide, influence and align a diverse set of stakeholders behind a Technology strategy and Plan
- Experience with establishing and Managing commercial arrangements with providers of technology services or products
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, ambiguity, continuous change, and stressful situations
- Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate at all levels within the organization
- Flexibility to adapt to changes and challenges in organizational strategy, priorities, direction.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Ability to pass a 7 year background investigation
