Sustainable Manufacturing And Sourcing Materials Director - Nike


As the Nike Inc. Sustainable Manufacturing & Sourcing Materials Director - you will lead and collaborate with a diverse team of multi-discipline stakeholders in defining and driving innovative solutions to enhance Sustainability goals in Manufacturing & Sourcing Operations. You will build internal and external networks in the industry, as well as with NGO's and academic institutions, and you will be expected to have a fluency in the broader definition of Sustainability, which includes Lean, Green, Equitable and Empowered metrics for both Environmental and Social Sustainability goals. You will lead the Sustainability stewardship processes with the Materials vendors and be able to recognize and implement a Lean approach to improvements across the enterprise; benchmarking, setting targets and tracking performance. You will be responsible to understand the unique business needs of our product creation organization, and to support solutions which lead all brands and our associated materials vendors to a shared vision of driving business value and growth fueled by a sustainable supply chain. This would include Nike's public commitments to meet our goals of Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals in our supply chain. You will build, inspire and lead a diverse global team demonstrating multi-cultural intelligence. You will be responsible to assess organizational needs and adjust against business strategy. You will be responsible to create a successful development and implementation plan for long term strategies, tied to overall brand and Inc. objectives, resulting in the growth of organizational capabilities and delivering against targets. You will be responsible for a Manufacturing budget, ensuring that resources are deployed in a fiscally prudent manner. In addition, you will manage direct staff and will work to ensure talent is identified and developed to lead Nike in the future.

Qualifications
Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field and a minimum of 10 years' directly relevant experience
- 2 years' additional related experience in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrate ability to translate ideas and direction to the broader organization
- Proven communication and influencing skills in front of Senior Level management
- Demonstrated knowledge, good judgment and experience with key external stakeholder engagement and ability to represent Nike's best interests
- Ability to manage a diverse and global team of direct reports located in multiple time zones
- Familiar with the Sourcing & Manufacturing community
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to influence, motivate and mentor others within work group
- Ability to travel 20%-30%, domestic and international
