The Organisation
BG Group is a founding member of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V. (KPO) which oversees the development of the giant Karachaganak oil and gas condensate field in the northwest of Kazakhstan. Karachaganak covers an area of more than 280 square kilometres with estimated gross reserves of over 2.4 billion barrels of condensate and 16 trillion cubic feet of gas. The Karachaganak field is one of the biggest internationally-funded and most technologically challenging projects in Kazakhstan.
Position Summary
Gathering Superintendent is located in the field and reports directly to Production Optimisation Manager.  
The Gathering Superintendent will direct and control the operation of wells, production satellite, remote manifolds system of active and inactive well stock according to operative manual ensuring planned production volumes are met.  
 
The successful canddiate will also ensure day to day activities are completed safely and to a high standard or work. 
Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure site
    • produces the targeted gas and condensate production volumes in a timely manner and according to quality assurance requirements;
    • improves labour efficiency
    • reduces labour intensive production based on rational load of equipment and utilise technical potential of equipment;
    • saves materials, fuel, energy and reduce extra costs
  • Prepare site for operation, ensuring suitable resources have been allocated.  
  • Participate in development of new and improvement of existing technology processes and production regimes. 
  • Participate in commissioning, repairation of processing equipment, mechanisation and automation of production processes and manual works.
  • Ensure safety, occupational safety, industrial sanitary and processing equipment operation are adhered to.
  • Participate in development and improvement of work conditions, improvement of organisational technical production standards, rational use of labour hours and processing equipment.
  • Review technical documentation and ensure operating equipment is fit for purpose
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Education and work experience:
  • Higher technical education or equivalent 
  • work experience in similar position preferred
