Position Summary
Supports the L48 Land Team in executing the L48 annual business plan. Utilizes first-hand knowledge of US Land best practices in a support role.
Key Accountabilities
Provides support to the US Lower 48 Land Management Team.
Manages and measures the risk to assets by assuring accuracy of information in the land database (lease, title, contracts).
Assures accurate depiction in GIS mapping of lease, title and contracts data.
Expert user of the land database. Trains and advises the Land Team in its use.
Accesses land database and manipulates requisite data to assist the Land Team in meeting internal reporting requirements for acreage counts, reserves, annual business planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Advises and communicates established Land protocols to all functions to ensure they are adhered to.
Assists the Land Team in all adhoc requests and special projects.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed:
Previous experience working in a US E&P Land Department is required.
Broad knowledge of Corporate Land (lease records, DOI) is essential.
Experienced in adhoc data queries, report-writing and analysis of land data outputs is required.
Previous work in a joint venture environment is a plus.
Experience converting land data from one system to another is a plus.

Specialist Knowledge/Languages:
 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong emphasis in Excel.
Effective organizational and collaborative skills.
Strong communicator both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of software applications (i.e. Quorum, Excalibur, TLS, TEL, etc.
Petroleum / Energy / Land Management Degree or equivalent preferred.
Experiential knowledge with imaging software and GIS.
Cultivates, manages and promotes key relationships.
Creative thinker and problem solver.
Takes pride in being thoughtful, precise and thorough.
Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to meet demanding deadlines.
